About

I’m Richard and I’m a tenor in the choir of St Ann’s Church of Ireland on Dawson Street, Dublin. I’m a former Lay Vicar Choral of Christ Church Cathedral Dublin – and occasionally still dep there.

I’ve also sung in lots of other church choirs, chamber choirs, and choral societies. I’ve sung everything from one-to-a-part polyphony through to large scale choral works.

I’ve been on BBC Songs of Praise twice, on RTÉ televised Sunday Service, and BBC Radio 3’s Choral Evensong numerous times.

I’ve sung in tiny chapels, cathedrals and basilicas, and world-class concert halls. I’ve sung for congregations as small as 3, and to an 82,000 capacity stadium in front of Pope Francis.

I’m also been singing for over 40 years of my life, man and boy, and through music have met the most amazing people who have been such a big part of my life. I’ve also lost some of them, which is very hard.
